Is it a case of…I’ve sold X-amount of cd’s so you already know the words to the song? I didn’t see this weekend’s SNL when “Fiddy Cent” performed. I’ve been hearing how drab his stage performance was. I’ve seen him perform last year on BET’s Spring Bling and there too he seemed rather blasé. Same could be said for Jadakiss, he’s rather languid with his performance as well yet selling no where near Fiddy. It seems as though the rationale for a lot of hip-hop artist goes…if you have my cd, why should I X-Y-Z for you on stage? I guess that’s part of the reason why the “Crunk” movement sells; those guys aren’t too cool to jump around on stage…get a little energetic.
